Squidward Tentacles is a blue-greenish like octopus. Even though he is an octopus he resembles more of a squid instead of an octopus which has caused much confusion for fans of SpongeBob SquarePants, though Stephen Hillenburg did say he was an octopus and not a squid. Another thing that adds to the confusion is his name, Squidward.
